My Story
Hi there, My name is Muddsar Qayyum. I was born in a small village. I belong to a lower-middle-class family. I started going to school when I was 5 years old. I got admission in the primary school in my village where 2 teachers teach grades 1 to 5. My father was my first teacher because he was teaching in the same school where I got admission. After 5th class, I joined a government high school in the city, which was 9km away from my home. My father had a low income and that’s why he could not afford my expense. I used to travel 9km every morning to reach school and return from school by using public transport. After matriculation, I got admission to another city where I did 3 years diploma in Civil Engineering. It was quite difficult for my father to afford my expense but my mother got a job as a teacher in those days and she used to pay my hostel and college fees. After that, I was looking for a university with the lowest fee structure where I wanted to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. I got admission in Computer Science because University does not offer any Civil Engineering degree but it was my compulsion as I could not pay the fees of any other university. After graduation, I got a job in a private company but left it after few months because I got a job as a Computer Programmer/Program Officer in the government sector on a contract basis.
